Jim Brown

Jim Brown

Jim has worked in the wood industry for 33 years. The first 20 were spent in Sawmills run by Idaho Forest Industries in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he supervised many departments and became Assistant Plant Manager. Jim also worked in a Stud Mill and a Board Mill, gaining much exposure to a wide variety of equipment.

During the last 13 years, Jim has focused on the Pellet Industry. He has designed, built, and managed three pellet plants. For several years he ran his own company, JB Pellets, handling sales for five pellet companies and a shavings plant. Because this work required thorough understanding of the operations of these plants, Jim acquired considerable knowledge of equipment and the industry. Moreover, Jim is actively involved in many meetings and seminars related to the expanding Biomass Industry, and he is particularly interested in new techniques and equipment for the recovery and utilization of fiber for fuel and other uses.

Given his extensive knowledge and experience, Jim can help you with all your pellet needs. - Contact Jim today!

Juergen Schumacher

Juergen Schumacher

Juergen's career began 30 years ago with a well-known German woodworking machinery manufacturing company. With uninterrupted years since, he has acquired extensive experience in the European, Canadian, and American markets. Over the years he developed a particularly strong knowledge base and background in wood & related industry processing equipment of just about any brand and segment in the industry. His overall Equipment & Woodworking Machinery knowledge makes him one of the most called upon advisors and one of the most "networked" individuals in the woodworking industry today.

He established EX-FACTORY in 1989, and as CEO, he is the driving force behind the company's success and unique market position. Well-known for his innovative marketing approaches throughout the industry, Juergen personally knows most of the several hundred dealers and distributors involved in the sale and service of woodworking machinery throughout the USA and Canada, as well as all major machinery vendors throughout Europe, and they know him!
With the success of EX-FACTORY's long distance sales business model, supported by a team of industry-experienced professionals, Juergen recognized in the 1990s the Internet's powerful marketing potential and dynamic. The www.exfactory.com website was "rolled out" to the woodworking industry, and today EX-FACTORY is recognized as the most visible Internet driven Used & New Equipment Dealer Organization in the Western Hemisphere.

Seeing similar sales opportunities for company growth, Juergen expanded the company through "brick & mortar" backed Internet sales with multiple and specialized websites for Factory New equipment, Stone & Glass Machinery, and most recently Lasers & Metalworking. Leasing and Asset-Recovery Sales Divisions were part of the organic business growth providing additional services to Buyers & Sellers alike.

Realizing the current global urgency to develop more "eco-friendly" products and services, in 2007Juergen took the initiative to service the growing demand by businesses to setup Wood Pellet Plants. Wood Pellet production combines some traditional wood processing machinery with specialized manufacturing equipment to produce pellets, an alternative, renewable, "green" fuel source already well established as an energy/heating fuel in some European countries and to some degree in the Northeast USA & northern Midwest States.
