The PELLET.TOWER is a modular, vertically designed Pellet Manufacturing System providing an innovative, but proven solution to biomass pellet fuel production. The 65' tall free-standing tower contains all the Pellet Manufacturing equipment necessary on a 17' x 20' concrete pad and eliminates the need for material handling and conveyor systems.

The "Single" Tower produces 30,000 - 40,000 tons of pellets annually from wood or agricultural waste streams. The "Dual" Multiple High Output Pellet Tower generates twice the volume with 60,000 - 80,000 tons per year capacity, and (3) of the "Dual" Towers set up next to each other will generate up to 240,000 tons per year of high quality pellets.

Each "Single" or "Dual" PELLET.TOWER has (6) levels vertically integrated on top of each other. The operator monitoring station is located at the ground level and processing equipment is in the top (5) levels. All corresponding equipment has direct "walk-up" service and maintenance access without personal lifts, ladders, or other access devices. Electric power supply & panels, compressed air, air filters & dust Collection, and safety controls are completely integrated and linked throughout the automated pellet production system designed to run and be maintained by (1) operator. The Tower's thorough engineering and high degree of automation also allow remote off-site PC monitoring of the entire process.

High quality brand name equipment is used throughout the entire System from the Hammer Mill at the beginning of the process, the Material Holding and Dosing Bin at the very top of the Tower, the Binding Agent System, multiple Foreign Material Separators, Water Dosing with moisture control, Ripening Silo, high production Pellet Mill, Pellet Cooler, final Screening Station, as well as all auxiliary equipment including Process Control & Visualization, Fire Protection, Explosion Prevention, Dust Collection, Spark Detection, Water Distribution, Compressed Air, and even a Central Vacuum Cleaning System that makes it easy to keep the enclosed work environment extra clean.

The "payback period" of the investment is projected to be less than (2) years (assuming current fair market pricing for pellets), a very short time period by any comparison for an entire manufacturing setup. Assuming a financial projection of ... $ 70 per ton dry material cost, with 5.5 tons per hour (softwood) production capacity, and (7,200) operating hours per year, the PELLET.TOWER will break even in less than (2) years. As a completely self-contained steel structure enclosed with insulated sandwich panels and weatherproof cladding, the PELLET.TOWER allows very short depreciation periods and can qualify for alternative financing, such as Leasing. In Europe, for fiscal and tax purposes, the Tower is considered a "single" System like a single machine (system).. Should relocation of an existing PELLET.TOWER become necessary, the Tower structure with installed systems can be divided into (4) units for transportation on flatbed trailers. Dismantling and reconstruction of the PELLET.TOWER requires a period of (6) weeks or less.

The PELLET.TOWER is designed and built by TECCON Konstruktion GmbH (www.teccon.at), an Austrian family-owned business with a 75-year track record in engineering, steel fabrication & construction, and equipment manufacturing. They developed the "better way" PELLET.TOWER in 2005 to manufacture pellet fuel, and the first Tower began operation in 2007.

The PELLET.TOWER is imported to the North American market by EX‑FACTORY INC. (www.exfactory.com). EX-FACTORY’s services include the delivery of the “stand alone” PELLET.TOWER to the customer's site (neatly packed into eight ocean containers) for installation, commissioning, and training. Depending on the customer's requirements, additional equipment such as Drying Systems, Storage Silos, Bagging Solutions, etc. can be provided and supplied.
